Iida Puppet Festa

Held every year in early August, the Iida Puppet Festa is the largest of its kind in Japan.

Puppet troupes from Japan and around the world gather in Iida to perform over 300 shows at over 100 venues. The festival attracts over 30,000 visitors and many Iida citizens volunteer to make the festival a success.

Iida Puppet Festa is yet another way to enjoy the wonderful, off the beaten track city of Iida, located in southern Nagano.
