The Dragon Route 昇龍道
The Dragon Route is a tourist route that runs through the prefectures of Aichi, Gifu, Toyama, and Ishikawa. It can be traveled both north/south or south/north. The area is sometimes referred to as Chubu, a region located in the central part of Japan.
The name “Dragon Route” was inspired by the shape of the route. It looks like a dragon rising towards the Noto Peninsula, with the “head” of the mythical creature being the peninsula itself. A visitor can experience the history and traditions unique to the area, beautiful natural landscapes offering something different each season, bountiful delicacies from both land and sea, and soothing hot springs to relax the soul.
