Kyoto & Osaka 京都・大阪
Kyoto and Osaka are cities located in Kansai region of Honshu Island. Kyoto was the capital of Japan until the middle of the nineteenth century and Osaka is called the “Kitchen of Japan”. The Kansai International Airport (KIX) serves the Kyoto/Osaka region.
Kyoto
Kyoto, the UNESCO World Heritage city and probably the most popular destination in Japan not only for international tourists but for Japanese travelers as well. Kyoto is considered the heart of cultural Japan with its numerous shrines, temples and historic cityscape. Kyoto has two high seasons: one in May-June and the other from September through to December.


Osaka
Osaka is Japan’s third largest city after Tokyo and Yokohama. The City of Canals, Osaka’s distinct culture is intertwined with its mercantile history and is famous for being a haven for foodies.
