In Japan, there are many old traditional houses referred to as a "kominka" (古民家). In recent years, they are being renovated and are being used as cozy cafes, overnight accommodations and the like.
In Fuchu, a suburb located in western part of Tokyo metropolis, several of these houses are used as venues where visitors can participate in cultural activities.

These activities include tea ceremonies, flower arrangement and origami experiences. In addition, it is possible to take part in these activities by donning rental kimonos to make your experience even more authentic and special.
