Southern Nagano 南信州
Southern Nagano is located along the Ina Valley, consisting of the city of Iida and the towns and villages of the Shimoina district. Surrounded by high peaks of the Central and Southern Japanese Alps, Southern Nagano is famous for its stunning nature, fruit orchards and a special culinary tradition.
Tenryu river
Tenryu river is a place where you can enjoy boat cruise and green tea picking. Nakaya farm, a tea farm located next to Nakaisamurai station on JR Iida line.
Iida city
The southernmost and the fifth largest city by population in Nagano prefecture, Iida is located along Tenryu river which runs through Ina valley. Iida is famous for apple farms. Shimoguri village and Tenryu gorge are one of the must visited places in the city.
